I had a perfectly sensible plan: keep five guinea pigs. Then one needed a friend, two babies became available, another got lonely… and suddenly my only problem was how to tell Graeme another piggy was arriving that night. 😁

We said goodbye to Let Let, but on the very same day welcomed Chestnut and Pastel. There’s something strange about losing one little life while making room for two more.

Red was not impressed when the new birds moved in. By the third photo, I’m pretty sure he had called a meeting to lay down the house rules. 😂

After a week of early starts and long days, Luna decided she had been patient enough. Apparently, my afternoon nap required very close supervision. 😊

I thought I was simply showing off photos of my very chill dog. Then someone recognised Luna before recognising me. Apparently, I’m just Luna’s mum now.

Luna can be socially anxious, so meeting Bailey was always going to be interesting. But when my Velcro dog chose to leave me behind and follow him instead, I knew the introduction had gone better than expected. 😊

I always wanted a dog, but the one breed that seemed perfect for our life was also the one I never expected to find needing a home. Then Luna appeared. 😊
