Match Made in Heaven

Meet Luna, the new addition to our furry family.

I always wanted a dog but had second thoughts since we don’t have a yard for a dog to run around. And because we live in a unit, barking would just cause problems with the neighbours.

The only breed I thought would be perfect was a British bulldog. They are not very active, they don’t bark much, and one would be the perfect companion for Graeme while I am working — not to mention they would have the same fitness requirements. 😊

Except British bulldogs are pricey. And even if I had the money, I would still prefer to rescue or rehome a dog.

So my chances were really very slim. You don’t exactly see British bulldogs in animal shelters very often.

Then, two weeks ago, I saw a post on Facebook about an adult British bulldog looking for a good home.

I responded to the post but didn’t have high hopes.

To my surprise, the owner responded the next day — after some thoughtful consideration based on what she saw on my Facebook profile. 😊

We corresponded, and finally picked up Luna yesterday.

Luna is a very sweet girl.

She is now my shadow, and I’ve lost my privacy altogether.

Well, it’s a small price to pay in comparison to the loyalty and love this girl has already shown me, even in such a short time.
