It all started with my fascination with clouds.
At home, on our balcony, I often find myself looking at the clouds more than the city view. Even when we’re driving, I’m sometimes more interested in the sky than the scenery.
Every shade, every shape — they fascinate me.
Whenever I fly, I usually insist on a window seat so I can watch them. And for years I wondered what it would feel like to actually be surrounded by clouds.

So eventually, I took the plunge.
Literally.
I went skydiving.
As we fell through the cold clouds, I came to a rather unexpected realisation:
Sometimes the object of our fascination can be beautiful from a distance, but very different once we’re inside it.
Clouds, as it turns out, are cold.
They cannot hold you.
And if things go badly enough, they can also be deadly.
Still, for a few extraordinary minutes, I got to experience something I had wondered about for years.
I didn’t just look at the clouds.
I went through them.
