We said goodbye to Lei Lei today, but also welcomed Chestnut and Pastel.
There is something strange about losing one little life while, on the very same day, making room for two more.
Lei Lei had her place in the herd and in our lives, and that place can’t simply be replaced.
But life keeps moving.
So today there were tears for one little darling, while two frightened newcomers explored their new home, found the food tray and started figuring out where they belonged.
Rest in peace, my little darling.
And welcome to my world, little diddums.
