This Is What People My Age Do…
Two months into running, six weeks after a heel injury, and after somehow getting lost during a 5 km trail race, I crossed the finish line with a bronze medal. For me, that was something.

Knowing When to Walk Away
Sometimes endurance isn’t about pushing through. Sometimes it’s knowing when the wiser decision is to walk away.

I Walked My Way to the Sydney Marathon Finish Line
Seven kilometres into the Sydney Marathon, I decided to pull out — then realised I had absolutely no idea how to quit a marathon. So I walked the remaining 35 kilometres instead. 😂

I’m Back!!!
I disappeared from Facebook for a week to study before the Sydney Marathon. Somewhere between work, training and late-night study, I realised I wasn’t tired of running — I just missed my life.

3 Marathons in 3 Days — Cairns Trail Race
I ran easy, walked the last 10K, and somehow still finished about 25 minutes faster than the previous year. Turns out stronger doesn’t always mean pushing harder. 😊

My First Marathon: Not Quite the Way I Planned It
My first marathon started with a late bus, a run-in with a car, an unhappy knee and a wardrobe malfunction involving gaiters. Somehow, I still made it to the finish line — 27 minutes before cutoff. 😂

I Made It to the Top… Just Not Before Cut-Off
I trained for Point to Pinnacle for three months. Then, two weeks before the race, diverticulitis and a hospital stay changed everything. I went anyway, planning to walk what I couldn’t run—and somehow still made it to the summit, just not before the official cut-off. 😊

How I Snuck Into Perth Marathon
With only six weeks of training, I somehow found myself at the Perth Marathon — starting dead last, stopping at every toilet, passing dozens of runners, and somehow having one of my best marathon days yet. 😂

Painful Break-Up!
My doctor told me to stop running for seven days. The Achilles could probably handle the rest. I wasn’t so sure I could — especially when my smartwatch started ageing me four years in a day. 😂
