“Take up running,” they said.
“It’s cheaper than other sports,” they said.
And yet, this is what I bought just this month.
Two identical pairs of running shoes — because apparently one pair of expensive shoes is not enough. I wanted to alternate them.
Unfortunately, the white pair is too big.
Long story.
So that one has to go back.
Then there’s the hydration pack, which I discovered isn’t actually ideal for running.
Also pictured: visors, a headlamp and other bits and pieces that apparently became necessary somewhere between “just go for a run” and whatever this has turned into.
And these are only the basics.
There are still several more “quality” items I supposedly need.
And by quality, I assume they mean expensive.
Running is cheap, huh?
