I volunteered to cook for a youth camp, feeding 78 youths and 21 adults.
That meant cooking for 99 people — and suddenly my normal kitchen logic no longer applied.
The only pot big enough for the mass cooking didn’t have a lid.
So I did what any resourceful cook would do.
I looked around, found a wok that was roughly the right size, turned it upside down and decided:
Congratulations. Today, you’re a lid.
When you’re cooking for 99 people, you don’t always need the proper equipment.
Sometimes you just need something that works.
