This was my second work trip to Karumba.
We arrived at around 2 pm and went straight to work.
By 6:30 that evening, tired and hungry, we finally stopped and headed to Sunset Tavern for dinner.

And when I say the food disappeared as soon as it hit the table, I mean it.
After hours of driving followed immediately by work, nobody was interested in admiring the presentation for too long.
We finished the job the next day, then left Karumba at around 4 am the following morning for the long drive home.
By then I was stiff and sore all over.
But one thing I had learned from all those hours behind the wheel was that, if I ever considered a career change, I could probably become a truck driver.
Still, that dinner at Sunset Tavern remains one of the best parts of the trip.
Sometimes food tastes particularly good when you have truly earned it.
