I know it’s a bit premature, but I was thrilled to see a bud on my lemon tree.
We had very limited space, so I was simply happy that we were able to grow some fruiting trees at all.
With the promise of lemons to come and my little silkies laying eggs, I suddenly felt very productive. 
It didn’t take much — one tiny bud and a few eggs — to make the whole little setup feel worthwhile.
