Apparently, these two decided that the aviary was no longer good enough for them.
So they moved out.
Without notice.
Without permission.
And took up residence on our ceiling fan. 
I’m not sure what attracted them to it.
Maybe the height.
Maybe the view.
Maybe they simply wanted a more exclusive address.
Either way, they looked very pleased with themselves sitting there side by side as if they had personally inspected the property and decided:
Yes. This will do.
Of course, this meant the ceiling fan was temporarily out of service.
Because turning it on while the new tenants were home seemed a little unreasonable.
Living with birds means accepting that sometimes the house is not entirely yours.
You just happen to pay for it.
