When the Plan Keeps Changing
Our plan was to cross Mt Bartle Frere and camp on the eastern side. Then came slow progress, thick fog, a full campground and a nine-year-old yelling, “I don’t want to die!” Hiking plans, apparently, are merely suggestions. 😂

Never Say Never
I had avoided camping on Mt Bartle Frere for one very good reason: I didn’t want to carry all that gear up Queensland’s highest peak. Then I found myself crawling uphill with an 11.5 kg backpack.
