I was walking along the roadside when something caught my eye.
At first glance, I thought:
Why would somebody put delicate little figurines out here?

They looked almost too intricate to be real — like tiny lace sculptures sitting among the leaves.
So naturally, I went closer for a look.
Turns out…
they were mushrooms.

Nature had apparently decided to become an artist.
And once I realised what they were, I had to stop and take photos because they were far too beautiful — and strange — to simply walk past.
Sometimes the most interesting things are sitting right beside the road, waiting for somebody nosy enough to investigate.
