People sometimes describe themselves as problem solvers.
I’m not sure I want that title.
Because if you’re always looking for problems to solve, eventually you might start seeing problems everywhere.
I prefer to think differently.
I don’t usually look at something difficult and think:
“Here comes another problem.”
I think:
“Alright. What’s the challenge?”
A problem sounds like something standing in your way.
A challenge sounds like something you can work around, learn from, adapt to — or occasionally argue with until it gives up.
Maybe it’s only a difference in language.
But sometimes the name we give something changes the way we approach it.
So no.
I’m no problem solver.
I just seem to encounter an impressive number of challenges.
