Thredbo’s First Snowfall of the Year

Just like that, the landscape changed overnight.

The ski runs overlooking our balcony had turned white, and watching the snow fall was magical.

What was supposed to be our easy day somehow turned into another chairlift ride up to Eagles Nest so we could see how yesterday’s yellow-brown and black landscape had transformed into a blanket of white.

Walking out in the open at 2°C while the snow was falling was an experience in itself.

Strangely, it didn’t feel as cold as my first time on this track—or even our hike the day before. There was hardly any wind, which apparently makes a very big difference when you’re trying not to turn into a frozen Filipino. 😂

And of course, somebody had already built a snowman.
