For our Dynamic Running Cairns Morning Squad Christmas party, we had a boodle fight — a Filipino-style feast served over banana leaves, a tradition popularised by the Philippine military.
Everyone gathers around, food is spread across the table, and you simply dig in.
No individual plates. No carefully arranged servings. Just food, conversation, laughter and a lot of reaching across one another. 
I’d say it was a celebration very fitting for these running legends.
After all, if there is one group of people you can confidently prepare a table full of food for, it’s runners.
