So Much Water

We stopped at Upper Yarra Dam while exploring around Warburton.

I knew it was a reservoir, of course, but seeing that enormous stretch of water disappearing into the mist made it feel much bigger than I expected.

Then I read that the reservoir can hold more than 44 billion gallons of water.

Well… that’s a lot of water.

Sometimes I think numbers don’t really mean much until you’re standing there looking at what they represent.

And on this cold, grey day, with the clouds sitting low over the hills, it was quite a view.
