A very challenging hike to Cowley Falls with five others, organised by Andy’s Group Hiking Adventures.

It rained throughout the hike, which made an already challenging track even more interesting. There was scrambling, slippery rocks, thick rainforest and, naturally, plenty of leeches enjoying the weather.

And when I say plenty of leeches, I mean one actually managed to get into my left eye.

Yes. My eye.

Apparently my legs weren’t enough. 

But after all the rain, mud, scrambling and blood donation to the local leech population, we finally reached Cowley Falls.

And looking at that waterfall, I could almost say it was worth it.

Almost.
